Originally from Long Island, NY, Bill first gained notoriety as a DJ in New York City’s legendary nightlife scene, holding court at institutions like The Limelight, Vinyl, and Arc. A co-founder of the cult-favorite Robots parties and host of the beloved Robot Radio, he became known as much for his razor-sharp wit as for his deep, emotive sets.
In 2008, he relocated to Berlin—a move shrouded in rumor and mystique—and over time became a fixture at underground havens such as Club Der Visionaere, Robert Johnson, and Closer in Kiev, while also commanding stages at global mainstays like Amnesia Ibiza, Fabric London, and Womb Tokyo. He has curated musical atmospheres for boutique hotels around the world, including Hôtel Costes in Paris, Baba Beach Club in Thailand, and Guldsmeden Hotels in Berlin. From 2020 to 2025, he produced and hosted the monthly radio show Chaotic Neutral on OpenLab Radio. Most recently, he was named A&R at Stratasonic Records, lending his ear and vision to the label’s forward-thinking output.
Parallel to his musical journey, Bill cultivated a lifelong love of photography that began as a child, with a Polaroid camera borrowed from his parents in the 1980’s. Since 2016, he has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in portraiture, nature, street photography, and photojournalism. His influences range from Diane Arbus, David Lynch, and Ryan McGinley to Gerhard Richter, Frank Ocean, and Philip Glass. Now based in the Hudson Valley, Bill’s photographs have garnered international recognition and were recently featured in Berliner Zeitung. In 2024, he released In Between, his debut photography book, which sold out online in just four months and was acquired by IDEA in London. His work has been exhibited in Budapest, New York, and London during Frieze Week at the invitation of Abbas Zahedi, winner of the Frieze Artist Award 2022.
Spanning the worlds of DJing, photography, music curation, and A&R, Bill Patrick’s practice defies category—driven by a singular instinct to shape atmosphere and provoke emotion across every medium he touches.
